EARLY LEARNING FOR PUPPIES AND THEIR PEOPLE!
For Puppies 9 weeks to 5 months of age
Congratulations on adding a new member
to your household. Not only will we help you with all the health issues
for your dog, we will also assist you in any behavior
issues that may arise. If you have not yet chosen your new
puppy, ask us for help with breed or puppy selection.
Is this class right for me and
my puppy?
- Small classes-6 dogs (all breeds welcome)
- Personal, hands-on attention
- Class meets once a week for 4 weeks
- Entire family, including children (over 4), is welcome
- Pawsitive Techniques - no harsh training methods
You will learn:
- How to become your dog's "leader"
- How to take
care of your dog's basic needs and health requirements
- Proven methods for crate training and potty training
- How to handle problems such as chewing, biting, and puppy
frenzies
Your dog will learn:
- Socialization skills for interacting with other dogs and
people
- Manners and good behaviors
- Simple basic
obedience commands including: nice, come, leave it, attention, sit, stand
for exam, controlled leash walking, no jumping
(verbal and hand signals)
What do I need to do before class?
- Sign up for class on-line or at PCAC and pay the tuition
($93 for the 4 week series- included in the Top Dog Puppy
Package)
- Have your puppy's shots
up to date including "kennel cough" vaccine
- Bring
soft, easy to chew treats cut into "pea size" pieces such as
chicken, cheese, or healthy soft training treats
- Bring a 6-foot leather of nylon leash (no retractable
leashes)
- Call us if you need any help before class
starts. We may be able to help you through a short
phone discussion or arrange for a private consultation with
our trainer.
