Multi-modal pain control means that we use different types of pain medications at different times to get ahead of and control your pet's pain.  Your pet will receive pain medications before, during, (sometimes after) and to go home with you.  We utilize the latest proven protocols in anesthesia and pain management including local anesthesia, and nerve blocks, morphine/bupomorphine, Dexdomitor, and Rimadyl/Metacam, allowing us to use less anesthetic and minimize your pet's pain.

Laparoscopic surgery allows finer and more precise techniques further decreasing pain in those surgeries where it is applied.

Laser surgery also helps reduce pain, as the laser is a less painful cutting technique than the scalpel sealing tissues as it cuts.

The laser therapy performed at each incision site at PCAC helps reduce pain and speed healing as well.
