At PCAC, pets undergoing anesthesia receive IV catheter and fluids no matter their age.  This helps maintain their blood pressure and helps protect their kidneys.  Kidneys typically must be 75% damaged before they begin showing signs of that damage.  We would rather protect them for the life of your pet!
